By chance, does anyone have a shot of the 2332 Turret next to the 2132 dome? Just curious how much larger the Turret is vs the Dome.

I did not have one handy, but I do have a variety of cameras just sitting around so I took a couple quick family photos for you. Hope they help, stuck an ink pen in there for size comparisons to a known object.

That's awesome, thanks Razer.

so turret is actually slightly larger then dome? And all of them look tiny in front of 2432

I was planning to get a turret - but keep wondering if a dome is a better choice... Easier to clean...

The turret is better in every way, except that its not available with sd card, audio and alarm connections...how is dome easier to clean?

I have a turret and a smaller dome, I wouldn't say turret better in every way, it's just different. It was cheaper, but didn't come with sd card/audio/wifi. I probably cleaned them once in a year, they are however mounted under eaves. I will be getting dome next, this time because dome is actually cheaper and comes with -IWS.

The turret is way less susceptible to spider webs and has a bit better IR. It is also much less likely to suffer from IR reflection...if you don't need the extra functions mentions, the turret is a superior choice..

I guess my turret was more appealing to spiders, never had an issue with dome. The dome and turret has identical IR rating, but I do prefer single IR on a turret. If turret was cheaper (the higher sensitivity version) I would recommend it, otherwise dome is a better option.

+1 Fenderman hit the nail on the head imo.

I'm working on replacing the security system in our neighborhood community center / pool. There are currently 9 domes connected to a 8 channel DVR. 2 domes are connected to a 4 channel multiplexer and then connected to channel 8. WTF? Anyway, any reason I should stay with domes aside from them being more vandal resistant? What extra functions are you referring to fenderman? Was looking to go with turrets.

Thanks!

See post 7..

With my cameras i think a valid point to add would be do you want them visible to crooks ? I have several Foscam bullets and you can see them from street. I am sure this stops guys before they even consider the handle pull. I have now installed some domes under eves and I barely notice them unless I am looking which maybe what crooks do - not sure. Also reason I went to domes was nto only the quality in my case but, spiders were almost a daily frustration. I have a bullet on top of garage on a pole and let me tell you cleaning it was a pain.
