There is no way that would work well...two cameras maybe if they are less than 1mp each or vga...the cpu would be choking...if you want small form factor take a look at hp elitedesk http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...+elitedesk+800&_nkw=hp+elitedesk+800&_sacat=0
or lenovo m93p tinys http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Lenovo-...1389850549?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item462c3c27b5

Cool I didn't know they made those small or tiny factor with i5 cores. I learn something new everyday ...

Thank for sharing!

You can do a few cameras with the PC and BI, but they would have to be very low resolution, 640x480 at most. I tried 1080P on brand new Celeron and got 1 camera to work using about half the processing power at idle, with 2 cameras I had to reboot to gain control of the PC again. On the other hand, you can use more efficient software, for example, same PC, NVR server only, I got 6 1080P cameras comfortably on it. With an i5, you should be able to get 6-8 cameras with BI with careful setup.

Anyone here have small form running Blue Iris?

I found one small form here - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...Mini+/+Booksize-_-ECS+(EliteGroup)-_-56501007

Someone by the name Blayne M. posted in the review that he using it for Security camera on Blue Iris but with only with 2 cameras.

I am wondering if it could handle more camera and what the maximum would be on a small form CPU like this?

I think I forgot to add only for monitoring or live streaming in my previous post.

What I was looking for something small enough to monitor the cameras at higher resolution but no recordings etc. I leave those tasks done in the camera itself since it all have on-board storage for the recording.

is it possible for this small form factor can handle monitoring (or streaming) only from camera at high def resolution still?

Another thing I looked at was a Android HDMI stick that can be plugged into the back of your TV. Then you can download like IP Cam Viewer apps on it and use it as a monitor but it is limited to Android apps only.

Cool, you should be ok even with BI...what was the processor in those? The link no longer works..

Keep in mind the the 4570T benchmarks lower than the regular 4570 (4800 vs 7000) so its not a full fledged i5. I dont think it could handle all 6 at 3mp and none direct to disk..that would take it to 75 percent or so with little headroom..if you use d2d on most of the cams and overlay 1 or two, you will be fine...
All of these numbers are obviously guesstimates...so only time will tell..
