I have currently a dahua ptz camera which served me well
Moving into an Appartement complex (Townhouse) and need a camera to do surveillance on my deliveries on a very short driveway
Camera should be small not easy recognized by neighbors but of good quality for day and night
I know there are a lots of cameras out there but my knowledge is somehow limited what to use. I have an eufy on an interims basis but it is just like a toy when I compare it to my ptz dahua
Any advice or help is appreciated
Thanks

Lots of unknowns.

Inside or outside install?

Is there enough light for color?

How large is too large?

Overview or Identify? If Identify at what distance

Lots of unknowns.

Inside or outside install? Outside

Is there enough light for color? Yes very sunny

How large is too large? A normal dahua ptz is to big
The size of the Costco eufy ptz camera is acceptable but this one is more of a toy

Overview or Identify? If Identify at what distance
50 yds not more

So you don't care about nighttime performance? Sunny during the day won't help at night LOL

IDENTIFY at 50 yards?

Do you want PTZ or fixed cam?

hardwired or wireless?

Sorry misunderstood
No street light close by, so it should have definitely night vision
Ptz or fixed cam does not matter to me
Size is the issue for me
Prefer wireless but obviously more options on a hardwired one as I understand

My recommendation :

get a fixed lens, fixed position 4MP 1/1.8" sensor Dahua OEM turret model and paint it to match your wall / trim ..
( varifocal cameras are larger than fixed lens cameras, and PTZ cameras are even larger given the same size sensor )

Once painted to match the wall / trim it should not be noticed quickly by many people

I was looking at the dahua IPC-HDW5842T-ZE
Similar style of camera
But also at a small dome camera
which is a more cost effective product.
Don’t know yet how to decide.
The dahua is a more sophisticated camera with lots of options, something I’m used to from my current PTZ.

Do not chase MP.

You said you don't have a lot of light.

That 8MP is on the same sensor as the 4MP and the 4MP will be better at night.
