My color4k-t is driving me nuts. Does anyone know why smart motion detection keeps turning itself back on? Everything was working great with ivs and all of sudden yesterday I was having a crazy amount of alerts. Went in and saw it was on. Turned it off. All good. Today, back on. Turned off, 20min later back on.

Is it connected to an NVR? Is it possible settings were made on the NVR instead of on the camera?

In addition to using the wrong browser, in some instances a non-Dahua VMS system turns SMD on.
Our "hack" is to set one little block in the corner as the trigger area, set sensitivity to lowest, and set a schedule that is 0 time or the minimum if the camera requires a minimum time frame.

That is likely the problem if it isn't SSS turning it on.

- Open Notepad:
- Copy then paste the single line of code below into Notepad:
- CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application").Visible=true
- Save as OpenIE.vbs
- Make sure the the file name ends in .vbs not .txt, If it ends in .txt you must rename to .vbs
- Create a shortcut to the above file and double-click it anytime you want native Internet Explorer
- Download any of the plug-in the NVR or camera asks for.

Successfully enabled windows explorer and toggled all of the settings. Applied in the on state and then back again to the off just so changes were made. Time will tell. Thank you
We also wonder how BI toggles SMD on our PTZs LOL. BI said it isn't possible, and yet we see it happen LOL.
