Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue with my SmartPSS setup involving three Dahua cameras. The problem started after I replaced my router—everything worked fine with the old one.

The issue is that sound alarms are delayed by a couple of seconds on my PC. When I watch the live stream, I can see that the cameras react to events (such as tripwire or intrusion) instantly. The blue lines indicating the rule application zone start blinking red immediately when someone enters the area. However, the sound alarm only plays after a delay.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or know how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!

It may just be a delay with the new router. It sounds like a networking issue not Smart PSS.

After some troubleshooting, I discovered that disabling video recording on motion detection eliminates the delay. However, this doesn't solve the underlying issue.

I may have misunderstood your question,.
Are you talking about alarms set for sound detection (loud or threshhold setting noises) on cameras that have this, being delayed in reporting on SmartPSS?
Is the camera using that detection and the NVR its attached to local to the machine SmartPSS is running on?

I have cameras connected to my router, and my PC running SmartPSS is also connected to the same router. No NVR is being used. I'm referring to the sound alarms produced by SmartPSS in response to IVS events set on the cameras (e.g., a female voice announcing 'Intrusion,' 'Tripwire,' etc.).1735395127487.png

Hmmm. never played with them. I'll test here in a bit

Still sounds like it is a router issue.

As a test turn off all firewall/analysis type stuff in the router and then try again.
