I have the SD10A248V-HNI PTZ installed on a 40' tower, gonna add to a 70' tower in the future. I am coming from using an Axis Q-6035E and with that camera I only used the built in interface/brower by simply typing in its ip address and then used what axis called camera companion to view when away or did it through remote desktop, I used an onboard sd card to record. I used the mouse to control. A joystick seems like it would be really nice to have with this new camera. I have install a smasung 128 gig micro sd in this new Dahua camera. I have played with it a little bit using the build interface and again typing its ip address. The interface on dahua doesn't seem to have as many options as the axis. I could be wrong as I have only spent maybe an hour with it. I do not see an option to start recording. Is the the interface that is with the camera the best option to use? Thanks for any advice.
