Hi everyone.
Looking for a solar IR illuminator that is 18650 powered. Am I asking for too much?
I know I can make a DIY 12V solar setup, just looking for a cheap fix.

AFAIK there's nothing ready made when I was researching a few months back, even a small 3w 12v DC illuminator need at least a 12v 4ah battery to last a 12 hours winter night that's about 8x 3.7v 18650 2000mah battery to hit that voltage/capacity. You can run the math on panel size and better off getting a LiFePo4 12v battery of the appropriate size.

that's just the illuminator though, does not include the panel and battery
Correct, which allows you to install anything you want based on price or environment. This unit provides more options with respect to how it operates which directly translates to how much power it consumes and needs to run. Run it 24.7.365 well you'll need a very large solar and batter pack. Run it from dusk to dawn the battery & solar can be smaller. Run it based on the IP camera detecting movement even less! :thumb:

Given this is American made and offers a Lifetime Warranty I'd invest my money to this company without much thought. :headbang:
