Hello guys.

I have a problem that is quite anoying and have been trying to solve without success.

I have 5 DS-7608NI-K2 nvr's on the same network, 1 which is for recording and other 4 that are just for viewing cameras in different offices without recording.

I have a DS-2CD2T47G2-L camera which works on 3 nvr devices but when i try to add it to other 2 nvr's i get message "Failed to get stream 0x1b01037" and yellow exclamation mark (picture attached).

If i for example remove camera from first NVR, than i am able to add it to nvr four or nvr five. It's like there is some limit to how many nvr's camera can be added to because it only can be used at 3 nvr's at the same time.

What have i tried:
  1. Changing camera IP adress
  2. Upgrading camera firmware
  3. Upgrading firmware on all nvr's
Nothing i tried had any success.

Has anyone had or encountered the same problem. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Here is the decoding capability of that NVR.

1-ch@12 MP (30 fps)/2-ch@8 MP (30 fps)/4-ch@4 MP (30 fps)/8-ch@1080p (30 fps)

It is possible you are overloading the decoding capacity. That is why I am up to 4 NVR's myself. One thing you can do is lower the FPS of the cameras.

I suspect you are exceeding the number of streams the camera is designed to provide.

One thing to try that should work OK is to connect to the RTSP stream as supplied by the NVR that the camera is successfully connecting to, as opposed to try to get another stream from the camera itself.

You can use the 'Custom Protocol' facility of the NVR to configure the needed stream parameters.
An example RTSP string as defined in the Custom protocol, pointing at an NVR channel 2 main stream :
/Streaming/Channels/201

Thank you for response. I will try that and report back how it went.

That makes sense. I will try your suggestion and report back how it goes.

Hi guys. I managed to solve problem. I added camera using custom add option and entered IP adress of another NVR which camera is connected and choose camera channel and entered password from other NVR and voila everything works now. Thank you for your time and suggestions. Much appreciate it.
