One more thing, just for S&G, I'm trying simply ZeroTier out without Vultr. It takes 3 extra clicks to get ZeroTier going to run BI and then 3 extra clicks to shut down ZeroTier when I'm done checking BI on my phone or tablet when I'm out. Seems simple enough but I'll pay for an extra month of Vultr just to keep the server there (turned off) to make sure I'm happy with only ZeroTier. I'm guessing I will be but I won't cheap out while I'm testing...
FYI Oracle Cloud has a pretty unbelievable free tier which would do a great job of hosting a little linux VM with Zerotier and a reverse proxy server to replace what you have at Vultr.

But if you can live with ZeroTier by itself with no reverse proxy, that is actually the more secure option since it does not expose your Blue Iris web server to the world.

Now that I have a procedure for using ZeroTier where it's only running when I want to check BI outside my network, I'm pretty happy with only it. Even the less tech inclined people in my extended family are fine with it. It's not like it's an all the time thing for them. I think my sky cam gets the most views since it's pointed to the WNW as that's pretty much where any bad weather comes from here that people like to check out. If a need ever arises, I'll check out OC, thanks!

@bp2008 Can Zerotier protect other wifi switches like light wifi switches, wall plugin wifi switches, other wifi few ip cams or it does protect only what is within BI?
I was looking around regarding securing my network (Found this video about Zerotier and BI )
as this is been coming for a while and over due and i found that Zerotier maybe good at just that, now Zerotier is only for the local any ip addresses? to block going out ?
(My network have ASUS RT-AX86U main and backhauled hardwired to another ASUS RT-AX86U w/original firmware. Both Asus is not the Pro edition)
Second Option was to add merlin firmware and third maybe buying a Firewalla gold se switch to secure network connection)

Other thing planing to Change my both of my computers my main and the BI Tower due to not been ready for win 11.

BI System:
Dell Optiplex 9020
i5-4590 cpu Quad Core @ 3:30ghz 16 gb ram win 10
C drive 250 ssd, BI 8tb purple
Plus 1 regular HD 500 gb
13 wired cams, 9 wifi
(Of course wifi switches,etc outside
of BI connected - 56 devices connected)

Main PC for daily use is:
Lenovo Tower IdeaCentre 710-25ISH
Intel Core i7 6th Gen 6700 (3.40 GHz)
32 GB DDR4 Ram
500 GB Hdd SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Windows 10 Home

I kind wanted to get a new faster pc as my main and move Bi from dell to my lenovo but sure if that is a good idea, what you think?

Thanks for your time.
