Some noob IP camera questions

Hi all I'm looking to buy the tp link nc250 IP camera basically just to use in lounge room to see my family a few times a day as I'm often away at work. Unfortunately my home upload speed is only 1.3mbps do you think it will be enough for this camera? Also I wouldn't want it to be on all the time using all my upload bandwidth as I have no need to store anything. Do you think the app would allow me to log in and switch it on Just for the 10min or so I want to see my family for then switch camera off when I stop watching?

If anyone has better brand recommendations that would be good but don't think I can go higher quality due to my low bandwidth

Welcome to the forum. The camera doesnt broadcast unless you are viewing remotely...not need to turn it on or off...
This is a hikvision rebranded cube and much better than the tplink, you can view the substream so it wont use much bandwidth...
