For a decade, the highest resolution single imager surveillance cameras have remained 30MP, now Sony has released a 61 MP sensor (IMX455AQK-K) marketed to surveillance.

Specs:

Compared to other Sony sensors:

I guess the other factor is how much light is let in on the 1/2.8" sensor versus say a 1/1.8" sensor in the same pixel range. Inquiring minds would like to know.

I think this is the CCTV that used that 61MP full frame sensor

I do have the Sony Full Frame 12 MP. Which is probably better at night vs full frame sensor with 61 mp

Yeah ,I highly doubt it.
The IMX455AQK-K is based on SLVS-EC architecture and has a SNR1s @ 0.15 lx......
Only the IMX533CQK-D and IMX294CJK have a better lux sensitivity @ 0.13 and they are both sub 10mp sensors.

so goodluck.,
