Hello everyone,
I need a huge favor from anyone who owns a working Speedir Night Owl / Night Owl Plus thermal camera system with the AI box.
This setup cost me $3,000 CAD.I have sent multiple emails to Speedir over the last 3 months, and they completely ignore me.
It feels like they just don't care because I am located in Canada and out of their primary region.
Their customer service is non-existent, and it is impossible to get an official replacement cable from them.
My main 7-pin connector right at the camera housing was entirely destroyed and eaten away by road salt and winter corrosion.
All the wires dissolved and broke off right at the connector base, so I have absolutely no way to know the original color sequence.
Since Speedir won't help, I ordered a new replacement cable on AliExpress, but unfortunately, it does not have the specific 7-pin connector end.
I am forced to manually rebuild the connector by soldering this new cable directly onto the internal 7-pin ribbon cable pads (board model NK8006A.02).
On my camera, the 7th pin (on the far right) was cut at the factory, meaning only 6 pins/pads are active.
My new cable has the following wires: Red, Orange, Black, Blue, Green, Brown, + Shield/Mesh.What
I desperately need:If you have this camera system, could you please open your housing and use a multimeter to perform a pin-to-wire continuity test?I need to know the exact order of the wire colors, pin by pin, from left to right, as they map to the 7-pin interface. I want to make sure I don't guess anything and risk frying a $3,000 unit. I am just hoping that the camera doesn't have any other internal damage from the corrosion once this cable is fixed.
If someone could take 5 minutes to test their working cable and write down the exact color sequence for me, it would save my camera from being a total loss.
