Would cause all sorts of issues with interference in the signal though.

I hear they keep moths away. Moth balls are primarily 1,4-dichlorobenzene which I assume has a similar deterrent factor as peppermint, maybe even moreso

A strong smelling petroleum jelly (Vicks Vaporub) works best, but it is messy.

Well gasoline and a match would definitely take care of the spiders!

So would vaseline and a rear entry.

I have been using WD 40 around the cameras where spiders attach their webs.
I use it a lot in the barn, It seems to work well until it gets washed off.

Good idea. I wonder if Garage Door lube (silicone spray) would work. If it did it might last longer.

It's worth a shot. Some silicone can be washed off with water, so might not last as long?
