SRICAM AP Series cam not connecting to email server

Hi all,
My new SRICAM AP will not connect to my yahoo email server during email server setup test. Other than the email issue the cam works great on local network and internet usage. I have a WANSCAM that I also use and it has no problems connecting and sending pictures. I use the same settings on both camera email server settings. Any ideas, what am I missing?

Welcome to the forum. Do yourself a big favor and return the camera. There are much better options out there. Dont waste your time messing with sricam.

I had some problems setting min/max shutter speeds on my SriCam. I posted some questions on here and basically got back the same response you did. Their tech support does work. I suggest typing what you want to say, then use google translate to make it into Italian, and ask them anything. Use the reverse of that procedure to figure out what they tell you. I use BI for my system, but BI will not set their camera parameters such as AGC, BLC and shutter control. To do that I had to use IE. Firefox and Chrome will not work. Go figure.

The good news is I now read EVERY license plate coming and going of every vehicle that comes into view of my camera day or night. That's pretty cool.

try another email provider, but @fenderman is right.. for sricam and wanscam your paying for more than your getting... name brand prices for cheap knockoff junk.. if you still have the capability to return it w/out hassle, do it.
