Has anyone assigned a static IP address provisioned by an ISP to an NVR to get management application control remotely?
I would like feedback of the pros and cons if anyone has a spare minute.
Normally, I do not do this as most of the systems I install are accessible directly at the NVR.
Let me also say most anything is hackable now days that is connected to the net.
This particular job is better served managed remotely.
I will be assigning a complex password access strategy for remote connection to the NVR byway of a management application using a static dedicated IP address at the NVR.
Thoughts please?
