STUCK! With Hikvision 2332 Setup

Ok, So I received my first IP cam (Hikvision 2332-I) along with a PoE switch, got everything plugged in and then went to setup/configure the cam and.... STUCK!

I can find the camera on SADP easily, and it stays listed there. However, when I try to modify and save anything I receive a pop-up: "Error: Failed to modify settings!" This is using the default password as instructed in the quick start manual: "12345." Even if I don't modify anything and enter this password I get the same error..

Any clues what could be happening here? Obviously the camera is visible on my network... but maybe the default password is different for some reason? Attaching a screen of SADP...

UPDATE

I figured it out.

I was connected to LAN, but the virtual machine on my Mac was configured to connect using wifi. Tweaking it to Ethernet connection did the job! Mystery solved.
