I had to do the same with a Loryta 3.6MM I purchased from EmpireTech on Amazon (Feb 5th). I didn't notice the substream wasn't working until the other day and then found this thread.

I have two of these Loryta 3.6MM cameras one purchased on Nov 20 21 and the other on Feb 05 22.
The camera purchased on Feb 05 22 has a firmware version V2 800.15OG001.0.R Build Date: 2020-10-14 <----- Had to use the above solution to get substream working
The other camera that was purchased earlier on Nov 20 21 has V2. 820.15OG000.0.R Build Date:2021-05-08 <---- No problem with substream
The camera that has the V2.820... firmware auto-populates with the following settings.
/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif
/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1&unicast=true&proto=Onvif
Not sure if I should flash the newer firmware or don't fix what seems to be working with the above fix. Andy must have gotten some old stock back in Feb 2022
