Support Needed – Hikvision CCTV Network Issue

Hi,

We’re facing a “Network is unreachable” error on some Hikvision CCTV cameras during the power transition from commercial to generator. The cameras work fine when powered on but lose connection during the switch.

We have checked:

1. Cables – No issues.
2. Cameras – Work when directly connected to the switch.
3. IP address & configuration – No issues found.

The house has frequent electrical fluctuations, so we installed a UPS and power stabilizer to protect the system. Could this be affecting the cameras?

I'm not an expert, but that sounds quite unusual. You said 'some cameras' lose their network connection when it goes to generator, but work fine when operating normally. So some are staying up working?

Are all the cameras ran back to the same network switch or are they routed to different areas within the facility? Have you confirmed that each switch the cameras are plugged into are actually receiving power from the generator?

We have a generator at one of our buildings, but unfortunately the networking closet was not included as an essential life support system to be included, so they go down when the generator kicks in and the battery back up drains and shuts everything down.
