Yeah ounce of prevention I guess. Doesn't really reduce the criminal element, just sends them (in this case) to your neighbors mailbox. Too bad there isn't a "catch and kill" option.
Yeah love that project he covers the problem pretty well, for police it's not worth the effort which increases the likelihood of this crime to occur in the first place feeding the problem because there isn't a great solution.
Unfortunately, even if you could 3D print the whole thing, who has 4 phones they can afford to lose at $1000 each, but it was probably the easiest way to solve the geofence, data plan, phone video problem.
Need to pass laws that you can sedative dart these cockroaches until then I just meet my delivery people at the door and freak them out the first few times!
In connection with my Mobius 1 comment above, I came across this video quite by accident whilst looking for something else - a Mobius 1 used as a CCTV camera.
The picture is amazing, however, 2 caveats here:
1. I believe the recording was to SD card not a recorder
2. The bit rate will be very high compared to ordinary CCTV, and thus storage amount compromised in favour of quality - I believe it's around 18,000mbs.
Notwithstanding the above, the daytime clip I found is here:
