Swann ID how does it work?

Does anyone know how the swann id that you use to view the device works? You enter that and a password and that’s it.

Normally you would have to open a port or use a vpn to view your device remotely how does the swann id get around that?

Doesn’t seem that secure. It must contact there servers in some way.

Swann carries various different OEM products - so my guess is that the software and cloud services will vary based on who made the OEM for Swann. Thus you may want to include Swann model numbers.
( some are Hikvsion OEM - others are not iirc )

Most likely it uses P2P (Point-to-Point) to upload to & download from "cloud" (their server).
