I purchased a NVR8-7300 from Sams Club last week. I believe it arrived DOA. It powers up, all lights come on and the mouse has its red light on it. The HD sounds like it is booting up, but no video output with either the VGA or HDMI outputs. The ports light up when the cameras are connected, but the LAN port does not light when connected.

I tried a fresh HD and did the small reset button on the main board inside, but still no go. I'm an IT guy so it's all pretty straight forward in this system. I'm thinking the main board is shot. The network board (with the POE ports looks good)

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this issue. It looked Packaged new so I doubt it was a return.

Hi, did you try to connect to the unit via http 85 from your local lan? The unit's network port should be setup for DHCP by default which should allow you to connect via your web browser (once you know the assigned IP).....
You may just have a faulty vid card or some weird HDMI setting on the unit...

The NIC is dead unfortunately. Even though there are no lights, I checked my router and nothing is connected. I think the main board is partially shot since no NIC and no Video.

I ordered another one since it went on sale for 569.00 and I'll just return this one which I paid 649.00
