Swapping out old camera for better one

I have a much better camera that will be replacing a glitching one. My question is, if I disconnect the old camera and then assign the SAME ip address to the new camera and use the same cat5 cable to install it, will it still be on the same position on the nvr's view screen? I am going HDMI from nvr to a dedicated monitor.
