Techview QV3157 Motion Sensing not Working

I'm trying to set up a Techview QV3157 DVR with a set of Techview QC3133 IP Cameras.

Normal mode recording (recording all the time when scheduled) works with no problems.

Motion sensing recording is not working at all (no matter what settings are in the recording schedule).

Checking the camera logs, I can see that the cameras are responding to motion.

I've cranked the sensitivity up to 8, and tried defining smaller areas to monitor for motion, but so far, nothing.

So far the store (Jaycar) have been unable to help.

Can anyone assist?
