Telnet to HIK NVR

I want to telnet a HIK 7604 NVR with firmware 2.3.9

When I telnet the IP of the NVR, the NVR replies with "192.0.0.64 login:" When I enter the classic user and password combination admin and 12345 or even my own web interface password I get an "Login incorrect" error.

Since the NVR replies to the telnet command it means that the telnet is enabled, but what could be the login credentials?
Is there a specific setting in the native NVR interface (which I do not have physical access)?

Decided to look inside the firmware DS-76xxNI-SE (P) USA Firmware_v2.3.9_140820.zip
Disassemble and research it.
Really changed authorization mechanism!
