I keep getting signal lost on an IP POE camera with the latest BI software. What is the most stable version of BI? There is a list of versions I can downgrade to that starts with 2.9.8.5 in October of 24.

Ken says he wants to write an FAQ on this issue because all cameras do it. But I have one that’s never done it before because it’s wired and I have no idea what’s going on, and it’s doing it several times a day.

i’ve read all the recommendations from the past and I’ve always had my cameras stable as I’ve been using Blue Iris for years and years. And this issue is something new. The next thing I’m going to do is replace the ethernet cable but at that point I will have replaced everything including the POE switch.

We see a post like this from time to time. Bi can be really sensitive to the newer codecs cameras are coming with.

Make sure it is H264 or H264H and general or no codec. Using AI SSA or Smart Codec or Acupick or SELF-ADAPTIVE or any other flavor than the standard can cause these issues in BI.

The T180 seems to be the most problematic with BI and tossing errors. I have it documented in the T180 thread what I basically mentioned above. Also use IE for it.

But if the signal loss is not an actual signal loss, but rather BI says lost signal yet the video is still there, then that is just it being over-sensitive to the settings and it errors on the side of letting you know there may be an issue.
