To reset cam from web browser or physical reset button on camera? Any difference?

Is there any advantage to factory reset a camera from the actual reset button on the camera vs doing a factory reset through the web browser interface? Does the physical button accomplish more? Even though there is access to the cam through the web interface?

Hardware reset is using the Button and his the best option most times. However as the years have passed software reset is almost the same.

If you're dealing with a camera that won't boot or respond, the button reset is your fallback. But for clean, controlled resets (like when prepping to redeploy a camera), software reset is preferred, especially since it avoids physical access, plus some cameras let you keep network and user data and reset all the reset of the settings using software..
