I've finally completed adding all of my cameras to my system, so I'm starting to look at getting everything configured so it's moreso set and forget. One thing I still haven't worked out is how to manage clips - I keep getting lots of small clips, rather than long clips. For instance, in my garage, if I'm working on something or loading the car up, I'll often get around 10-15 <30 second clips, rather that just one continuous main stream recording. The same thing happens if I'm working around the outside of the house or something, and it makes looking through clips hard to do as there are often hundreds of clips from all the different cameras.
I've played with the Trigger times and that seems to have made a bit of an improvement, I'm sometimes getting 2 minute clips now, but I'd rather just have full mainstream recording on motion/person detection for as long as there is a person in the frame, and then for a minute or two after. Can anyone guide me into what settings I should be looking at to optimize this?
