Trendnet TV-IP200 not working following Java update v 8 update 25

Hi,

After updating to the latest version of Java earlier this week I am unable to stream to my browser. Before I could have a live stream from this camera by typing into the URL http://<<camer's IP address>/Jview.htm. A Java security popup would come up and after accepting it I would get the video stream.

Since the update, the security popup would come up. After clicking the Run button a white screen comes up.

I can confirm the camera is working because I can get a stream on my android phone using the app IP Viewer.

Can anyone help me please?

Is there a way to view the camera without java? what happens if you just type in the ipaddress alone without the jview...Looking at the manual i seen you can install the active x viewer...
I would not recommend rolling back the java update (and i would totally uninstall it unless you really need it)

Thank you for your reply.

Afraid on my PC the two options are ActiveX and Java; the former does not seem to work (it hasn't in ages) while the latter was my only movie option. The app on my Android (IP Cam viewer) may create an idea of motion by repeatedly stickings stills together something the software built into the camera ROM/ does not.

You wouldn't know of a (ideally free) software that runs on Windows that would do the same?

Hey,
Just so you understand, all video is really just a bunch of stills stuck together...the frames per second or stills per second are the frame rate. You camera uses older jpeg compression vs the newer h.264 standard.
If all you want to do is view the stream you should be able to use vlc player, go to open media > network and use one of these [TABLE="class: accesslog"]
