Hi,

I've tried various recovery firmware images for the Trendnet TV-IP310PI device. I have been able to successfully push firmware to this camera, but I never received the TFTP message "Successfully updated" after the digicap.dav image had been pushed to the device. In all of the threads that I have read, I see that if that message does not appear the device did not update properly.

After the failed upgrade, if I wait about 5 - 10 minutes, I can see that the phone is available at 192.168.1.64 and the Hikvision utility (SADP) sees the device, but cannot perform any action against it because it is in a minimal system mode.

The hardware revision of the camera is 1.0R, and it is a TV-IP310PI.

The firmware images that I have tried have been from http://downloads.trendnet.com/TV-IP310PI/firmware/. I have installed every version except for the FW_TV-IP310PI_311PI(5.3.3).zip which does not match the model number of the camera I have.

Thanks

So, for the future. I am pretty sure I found out what the issue is. If you are upgrading your IP camera from within a VM (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2349 and https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2348) make sure you have your MTU set properly since these IP cameras REQUIRE that your MTU is set to 1500 bytes as they request a block size of 1400 bytes. If you MTU is set below 1412 (1400 bytes, plus the UDP/IP header) then you'll send 512 byte blocks versus the 1400 it was expecting therefore it sends invalid firmware. I have not tried this yet, but I am pretty sure this will correct the issue.
