Hi, same guy, new issue. I tried to update the firmware on my DS-2CD2432F-IW. I went to the ftp and got DS-2x12,2x32_v5.3.0_150513.zip and flashed it.

1) Did I by chance grab the wrong firmware?
2) How do I confirm if I bricked my camera?

I tried putting the camera and my laptop (IP 192.168.1.200) and tried pinging 192.168.1.64 (which manual says is default camera IP) and it didn't work

Your camera is likely a china region camera..start reading the threads in the hikvision section on how to bring your camera back.

IF the firmware flash you performed was successful THEN the camera may have been reset to it's factory default settings. Did you run the Hikvision SADP utility to determine if the camera is available at the default factory setting IP address?

Nothing picked up by the SADP tool or the iVMS tool. Will start reading the the hikvision section....
