Hi all
I bought a cheap chinese IP camera (for a trial, maybe later I will buy a good one).
I have to use SYSM MONITOR downloaded from the website www.scc21.net
I have a router and a WI-FI with DHCP.
The camera is connected in wi-fi.
I can see the streaming video on my home PC via wi-fi. but I don't know how to configure everything for a remote view.
Since I have no fixed IP how to access the camera via internet ?
Thanks

Can you assign the camera a static ip address? either via manually entering the IP address, subnet mask, and DNS server. OR using the routers 'assign static ip' rule.

It will be the preferred method of having an IP camera stay where it is.

Anyways. You can either use UPnP (universal plug and play) if the camera/router supports it to forward the correct ports or you will have to manually forward them yourself.

If you have a static public IP address this would be nice, if not you will need to use a dynamic dns service like freeDNS or something.
