I know I'm probably light on details for a diagnosis here. I can't seem to get live view or recordings through ivms. I can see the NVR and cameras, I can edit settings, I can see live view through hik-connect app and directly off the NVR, but not through ivms. I'm trying to use ivms to have real time view of the cameras downstairs, while the NVR resides upstairs. Same network, but the NVR is plugged into a network extender from my provider (Cox, can't remember what they call it). Not sure if this should matter, possibly an IP issue (but I'm not that smart on such things).
Are there any immediate things I can check that should be obvious? Is there an easier way to do what I want? Viewing PC is downstairs and NVR upstairs and that can't change.
Viewing PC is older but running a clean install of Windows 10.
