Try it?

Hey guys,

I'm new to Blue Iris and recently purchased a Hikvision NVR and camera. iVMS is not bad however I'm curious about Blue Iris. I figure since I'm new to all of this I might as well try Blue Iris now. I have a Mac Air and would record to an NVR and could also record to my Netgear NAS I assume.

I have a couple questions;

1. How does Blue Iris compare to iVMS?
2. Can I try Blue Iris cost free? (try and buy?)
