Hey Folks

Trying to understand drive capacity. I have an external WD disk connected to my computer to which BI is recording to.

Now that disk is 14TB. Which is = 12.7 TiB and shows as that in Windows

Now if I goto BI and under Recording I set the disk to 12900 GB as limit size it works.

According to calculators 12.7TiB = 13963 GB. So I went and did the setting to 13900 GB and the BI goes in red. The error I see is

2 21/12/2020 12:52:53.934 PM Clips S:: 3561, 12.30T/13.67T (-966.6G)
The disk currently still shows 500GB Capacity free and I want to maximise it. Trying to understand the following

  1. How to read the error above - I am a bit confused as to what it is reporting. More for my learning purposes.
  2. What should I set my recordings GB to as per above reading to maximise usage of space (can leave some buffer but 500GB seems a lot atm)

Thanks
