Hi everybody.
Yesterday a friend of mine gave me a Dahua NVR4104-W 4-channel WiFi NVR and I would like to know if should be possible to turn it in a small web server. It's an Arm v7 processor is it possible to install an embedded debian linux? I have logged in via telnet: is it possible to reboot and restart from an usb pen?

Welcome Gallus,

In theory yes, however it maybe complex as the Chinese companies enjoy taking open source software and using it to make money, but not releasing any code from the mods they make.

Thus, few here have probably done that.

The WiFi chip is probably the first thing I would inspect to see if it is well supported in the open source packages available.
