Turrets with audio-in

I was about to pickup a pair of 5442 varifocals when I noticed that they don't have audio-in for an external mic. Looking around, I noticed that the equivalent bullet cams do. Is there any specific reason for this? It appears that there are very few turrets that have audio-in.

My varifocals have sound in them already. Check the specs for the ones you are looking at.

I am not looking for turrets that have built-in audio. I am trying to identify why it appears that most turrets don't have an audio-in port when a good percentage of bullets do have it.

I would guess probably because the turret has one built-in and the bullet one doesn't LOL. Most cams will have an either/or and not both options

People also ask the the other way - why doesn't the bullet come with a built-in mic and the turrets do.
