TUTORIAL- how to get iVMS-4500 Alarm Notifications working

hello everybody, I have been struggling for some time to get Alarm Notifications working WITHOUT UPNP

so you need your tablet or smartphone device and install app according to your platform:
smartphones

if you are using DynDNS or NoIP you can skip this part

HiDDNS - Hikvision Domain Name System - http://www.hik-online.com/auth/login

you should create account first, confirm link you will receive by e-mail, and then in your camera or NVR find Serial Number
you need last 9 numbers of your serial number, write them down, you will need this number

go to: Advanced Configuration -> Network -> DDNS and choose your hostname

how to add your Camera or NVR to HiDDNS
step1: logon to http://www.hik-online.com
step2: go to Device Managment -> ADD

overview when device has been added

device status screen: hostname, serial number, IP Address

>The most important part< - router and camera port mapping/forwarding

ports have to be the same on both router and camera/nvr, so if you choose for example HTTP 10500 then you need to open TCP 10500 on your router
for "Server port" it is the same, if you choose Server Port: 10600 on your camera, you need to open TCP 10600 on your router
you don't need to forwarding HTTPS or RTSP ports, only HTTP Port and Server Port

whatever ports you choose it has to be 1 : 1 (camera port : router port), otherwise it won't work
go to: Advanced Configuration -> Network -> Port

test if you ports are forwarded correctly: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Add device to your iVMS-4500 app

go to Alarms

you should be able to turn on ALARM NOTIFICATIONS without any problem

Enable Norifications, by ticking the box "Notify Surveillance Center"
first test it with Basic Event - Motion Detection, and later you can test with Smart Event - Intrusion Detection, Line Crossing Detection etc.

OK here are some new findings

Chinese Hikvision (aliexpress gray import) cameras with firmware 5.2.5 or lower have bug, so Alarm Push Notifications are NOT working for Smart Event: Intrusion Detection and Line Crossing Detection

Alarm Push Notifications works only for Basic Event: Motion Detection, Video Tampering, Alarm Input, Alarm Outpu, Exception, Other Alarm (PIR on DS-2CD2432F-IW)

Hikvision cameras containing WR in the serial number (World/Multilanguage) don't have this problem, but all WR hiks I have came with newer firmware anyway (FW 5.3.6 , FW 5.3.8 , FW 5.4.0)

Notify Surveillance Center - is used to send "push" signal to devices, regardless if that is iVMS-4200 running on a PC, or NVR, or iVMS-4500 running on a smartphone or a tablet.

here are settings, I have checked "Notify Surveillance Center" and "Send Email"
Email is coming fine for both Intrusion Detection and Line Crossing Detection, but push notifications are not working (

Alarm - Push Notification working ONLY for Motion Detection with FW 5.2.5 on DS-2CD2532F-IS

Push Notifications are not working for Intrusion Detection and Line Crossing Detection
it is related only to either FW 5.2.5 and below, or CH Chinese cameras


Push Notifications are working fine with Motion Detection, Intrusion Detection and Line Crossing Detection on WR Cameras and FW 5.3.8 ; FW 5.4.0, I can confirm that

DS-2CD2532F-IS camera with FW 5.2.5 (you can notice intrusion detection and line crossing detection are not working as push notifications) - Smart Event
Motion Detection and Other Alarm (PIR) are working - Basic Event

DS-2CD2122FWD-IS camera with FW 5.3.8 (you can notice both motion detection and intrusion detection and line crossing detection are working as push notifications)
both Basic Event and Smart Event are working fine

http port is not working anymore by using iVMS-4500, it can be used just on Server port. But for server port Alarm notification.
