I'm looking to up-size my little 15" PC monitor to a 32".
With the Black Friday\Cyber Monday specials I can find 32" 1080 monitors or a 32" 1080 TV options near my price range.

It will primarily be used for camera viewing \ tweaking, (via Blue Iris currently) or through the camera web browser interfaces. But I'll occasionally use the computer for web surfing or a remote office work at home day, (email, spreadsheets, databases) here and there.
I am considering the TV because it has sound built in and would not have to clutter my limited desk space and outlets with external speakers and wiring. I'd be connecting either via HDMI or DP if available.

Any thoughts on if one would be preferred over the other for my purpose?

I prefer a TV so I can use a remote control to turn it on/off. TVs are also more likely to have multiple HDMI ports.
