Hello good day.
I am new here, hope to learn and contribute to this wonderful community.
We have installed two NVRs and connect to the router. The IP address for NVR 1 is : 192.168.1.20 and NVR 2 is: 192.168.1.25. The first NVR, I can see all the IP camera through smart pss lite, can ping the IP and can make change through web. The second NVR, I can ping through command, cannot view its camera through smart pss lite, not accessible through web, can not add to the smart pss lite because it is not accessible. I can see all the camera connect to it if I connect TV direct through HDMI or VGA cable. Before, all the NVRs was added to the smarrt pss, was able to view all camera.
Please kindly help

You can't access the web GUI of the 2nd NVR?

Are all of the cameras on an external switch on the 192.168.1.X network?

I just tested it and did it with 2 older 5216-16P-4KS2E NVRs

I added two of my cameras that are on an external switch to the 2nd NVR so that they are viewable on both NVRs and recording on both.
The I opened SmartPSS and added the 2nd NVR and I see both cameras on both NVRs fine

*I did have to change the login password for those two cameras on the 2nd NVR using the Edit dialog popup as the 2nd NVR uses a different admin pass than the 1st one.
(This tells the NVR what the camera password is so it can communicate with them)

What message do you get when you try to access the web GUI on NVR #2?

Yes, the network segment is between 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.255.
Before this problem, both NVRs was working well. All channels were lived on smart pss. All NVRs they rung NVR 4.0 software.
Thank you so much for your help.

When I type 192.168.1.25 on web address, the page cannot be found. When I try to ping 192.168.1.25 -t, it is reachable and working.
Also, on smart pss lite, when I open organizational tree, only the IP address of the first NVR.

is available. when I delete and add as device, and try to manually login to start NVR2, getting message error, the host is not available or offline.

Probably You have different device in the network with the same ip as second NVR...

Check on Your router client list, what IPs are free (not used) and then change IP on second NVR to different free one.

Also You should move DHCP range on Your router outside those used by NVR or cameras..
if You DHCP range will be around IP used by NVR, then DHCP server on router will give those IP used by NVR to other clients.

if moving IP on second NVR will not help (You will not be able to connect using SmartPSS or Web browser to the new IP), then something is wrong in second NVR configuration or Your network..

steve, thank you so much for this. let me work on it and will come back.

Connect a mouse and monitor to the 2nd NVR and review the network settings, confirm the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are configured correctly
I have tried to connect before using monitor, mouse, NVRs, but when I start it, shows the software NVR 4.0, then it stuck. no window for editing configuration. I used VGA cable, USB mouse, and monitor.
Thank you again.

bigredfish,
Thank you so much for your kindly help. but we use the same password for all camera and NVRs. one NVR has 32 connected IP camera while NVR2 has 16 connected camera. using different password can solve the problem. let try it.
Thank you again

That would explain SmartPSS not being able to login to the NVR

I always had good results with VGA and USB mouse

Did you update the FW on the problem NVR recently?
