Thank so much for your effort. BUT, solution to remove hard disk and reboot, didn't work. Still the IP for NVR2 is not accessible through web.
Here is the IP configuration.

NVR 1: IP: 192.168.1.20
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Preferred DNS: 4.2.2.2
Alternative DNS: 8.8.8.8
Vertual host: enabled.

NVR2: IP: 192.168.1.25
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Preferred DNS: 4.2.2.2
Alternative DNS: 8.8.8.8

Vertual host: This option is not available.

If I type: 192.168.1.20, in the browser, the web access open

If I type 192.168.1.25, in the browser, the web access, error the page cannot be displayed.
The absence of virtual host option in NVR2, can cause a problem?.

Thank you very much for your help.

I see that "

If, I want to reset to the default the NVR2. I have to place the button for how many minutes?
what is the hard reboot the NVR.?.
Thank you very much.

The 2nd NVR he said will not fully boot..stuck on logo screen
  • I have tried to connect before using monitor, mouse, NVRs, but when I start it, shows the software NVR 4.0, then it stuck. no window for editing configuration.
  • Can't login but - When I type 192.168.1.25 on web address, the page cannot be found. When I try to ping 192.168.1.25 -t, it is reachable and working.
  • This all started after a power problem

Does it look like This?

Quite possible the power problem he had fried something on the main board.
I had him disconnect the HD and that didnt change anything

Per Dahuawiki
  • Disconnect, reconnect power and video cables to system.
  • Disconnect HDD and boot system. If system boots without HDD, then HDD has failed or is not compatible.

There are following possibilities:

  • If Input power is not correct then switch input power.
  • If Power connection is not correct then switch power connection.
  • If Power switch button is damaged then replace power switch.
  • If Program upgrade is wrong then install correct program upgrade or send to RMA.
  • If HDD malfunction or something wrong with HDD ribbon then replace HDD or Ribbon.
  • If Seagate DB35.1, DB35.2,SV35 or Maxtor 17*g has compatibility problem. Please upgrade to the latest version to solve this problem.
  • If Front panel error then replace front panel.
  • If Main board is damaged then replace main board.

Sounds like it either has an IP conflict ( less likely) or some fault in the NVR's electronics, ( more likely)

Hello, bigred.
Yes, it look like that. But yesterday I tried to connect monitor, network, mouse, HDMI cable, was able to see the IP for NVRs. The IP mode is static. The only thing I didnt see is the virtual hosts option. The first NVR has it (Virtual host). according to google. "The virtual host function on a Dahua NVR allows users to directly manage and access their IP camera. This feature is primarily used to configure IP camera parameters that are connected to PoE ports". The NVR model is 4432.
Thank you for your help.

OK so your past the boot/login problem now. NVR works
(This was probably due to initially using wrong peripherals)

Use the IP address and login to the web GUYI of the NVR

Virtual host box should be at bottom, -scroll down
Virtual host allows access to cameras plugged into the NVR PoE ports using the blue IE icons on the camera registration page

Make sure the NVR is NOT in Bridge Mode for cameras using NVR PoE ports

Hello Bigredfish,
Thank you very much for your reply. The virtual hosts option is not there in NVR2, but it is there in NVR 1.
ip address: 192.168.1.25, shows cannot find host when I try to add it on smart pss lite software.
When I try to access the "web service" for NVR2 by typing IP address on the web address, getting error, the page cannot be displayed.
If I ping 192.168.1.25 -t, it works.
Thank you again.

Third time...
Change IP on NVR2 to different NOT USED IP.

It can be any 192.168.1.10 to 250 but it must be NOT USED...

before check if it used (ping -t <ip_address>)
if ping don't respond, then it should be free.

there is high risk that You have 2 devices which are using 192.168.1.25 on Your network...
this is way it don't respond over web or smartpss...

ps. whether you have Virtual Host option or not, it doesn't matter that you can't connect to NVR itself
