Does anyone know is it possible to restore the u-boot bootloader for Hik 16CH NVR?
I don't see any message on console(thru RS-232) while power it on.
It used to show "unmount /nand/........." before, but now showing nothing.
Does it mean the u-boot doesn't work? or something else?
 
If you didn't do anything to wipe the flash, it sounds like the NVR may be faulty.
Do you see the power LED on the circuit board?
Does it beep after power on?
Does your serial interface work OK on another device?
Depending on the model, I believe the initial flash load which is done at the factory will be via the I2C bus, which would need a specific hardware interface and the specific software image.
 
The power LED is on but there is no beep sound. The console works fine on other devices. I think I damaged the u-boot by accidentally using "sf" command in u-boot. Any idea about which HW and SW I can use for I²Ⅽ?

Sorry, I don't know, I've not studied the board to that level. I suspect the biggest obstacle after that would be getting the specific code to load and where to put it.
