Now I'm imagining a door bell that is actually a pepper spray can aimed at the visitor's eyes.

My biggest gripe about video doorbells is that they often have two or three equally sized circles on the front. One would be a camera, one would be an IR illuminator or a PIR sensor or something, and one would be the doorbell button, and anybody in a rush might have no idea which is which, or even be able to identify the wacky thing as a doorbell at all.
