Universal IP tool for Axis, HikVision, Dahua, Bosch, Hanwah, Vivotek, Panasonic, Flir, etc.

Forgot to ask earlier... Are you interested in knowing of cams that it did not pick up in my scan?
  • Two are oddballs and probably not worth bothering with.
  • One Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD does not appear.
  • One Annke I61DR-1 (rebranded Hikvision Cube cam) using POE does not appear. BUT another of the same cams running wireless does appear as Hikvision.
All the rest of my various Dahua and Hikvision cams were found.

My apologies... I did not check this forum thread for a while.

Sure, you can help me by doing a discovery via SADP tool and performing a Wireshark so I can check how SADP discovers DS-2CD2342WD and Annke I61DR-1 and then send me via email like describe in the following procedure:

I can even assist via remote access if this task is a bit tricky for you.

Many thanks and sorry for reply delay

I did a Google download and did not find it !
Is it uploaded to the net somewhere so that I can give to my colleagues to go and download. I don't want to download it my workstation and send a zip file across.

Everyone is wfh these days and an independent location to download would help.

Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks much.

Sorry for delay of reply...

Just came across this thread. I have a variety of cameras (Hikvision, Pelco, GW Security, plus a few generic brands) that I am trying to set up on an NVR made by a company called GW Security (model number of NVR is GW5532NSN). Is this software still up to date and safe to use to help me get everything talking to the NVR?

Is this software still up to date
Last update was done last year, I am bit late to answer as I am quite busy with work also.

and safe to use
No software is 100% safe. However, UniversalScanner is open source, so here you can check yourself the code if you have any doubt.
Make sure to dowload the last release from my github: Releases · julienblitte/UniversalScanner

That tool will just list all equipment on your network, but it won't more, especially it won't do the configuration in the NVR for you :)

Thanks so much I will give it a shot. I'm having a lot of trouble getting ONVIF cameras to talk to this NVR. It's very frustrating.
