Unknown Event

He did drive into that area quite fast. And he did leave in the same direction as the redhead walked.

Both cars seem to have some kind of permit hanging from the rearview mirror.

While the redhead does not seem to know the driver of the black 2013 Chevy Volt, the driver of the blue 2007 Ford Focus seems to know him. I can't tell how many are in the Volt, nor can I tell if the driver is a man or a woman.

I reported this event to the police via their online reporting tool. I wrote a description, attached a photo and gave them a link to the video. It took them quite a while to respond but this is what they had to say.

"Greetings, Clallam County Sheriff`s Office was dispatched to this call and the female passenger was contacted and identified. We were unable to locate the female who ran from the blue Focus on the trail but no crime was reported to the Deputy that responded."

So all that hubbub, for nothing. Clearly everything was on the up and up.

If you happen to come across the police report, make sure to post it.

I wouldn't say that. Based on the response the sheriff office gave the deputy was only able to contact the redhead passenger. As long as she was not willing to spill the beans on what might have been going on the deputy would not have any actionable information.

It's been my experience that the local sheriff does not do much investigating. There has to be something clearly actionable or they just move on to the next call. For example, while at work I got a notification that someone was in my yard. I watched as the person walked around looking in my windows so I raced home. The guy was gone by the time I got there and he did not break in. I saw some people near the street that told me the guy left on foot and they pointed me in his direction of travel.

Just as I found the guy walking down the street a sheriff vehicle drove by. I got the cops attention and told him what had happened. He said since the guy did not break into my house that he did not commit a crime there was nothing that he could do about it. So he just moved on without making contact with the guy.

I think that it would have been more reasonable to have a chat with the guy and try to identify him. He was obviously up to no good walking around my house and looking in the windows even though he didn't break in. By identifying him the cops would have a lead if someone in the area reported a break in or theft.

I agree. It seems to depend on the jurisdiction and the individual LE officer. Most of the Constables that patrol my neighborhood would have spoken to the guy, but that is Texas.

Interesting that they contacted the redhead, but not the owners of the two cars that you had plates on. So it begs to wonder who called the sheriff? Certainly not the redhead? If it was her then why call the police but then not give more information?

There is more going on here, we just do not know what it is.

I agree. I think with the good video that you gave them, it spurred them to some action. IMHO the video was very compelling.

To add conspiracy to the otherwise factual posts in this thread, I Googled the license plate number of the Focus and found that a person with a username that matches the plate has posted a bunch of porn videos.

It's unlikely that the two things are related, but a conspiracy theorist with an active imagination could craft a story about what was going on with the two girls. :-)
