Hi.
I have 4 SD49225T cameras bought from Andy.
2 of the cameras for a life of me I can not upgrade firmware.
Current version on cameras is : 2.422.0000.0.R.4.2510, Build Date: 2016-09-21.
I've tried different versions, direct connection to computer, no antivirus software installed, windows defender and firewall shot off.
When using a browser it is stuck on "transferring file" and when using "Toolbox" is gets stuck on 50%.
Any ideas?

Well finally I was able to upgrade the firmware. Used "Tool box" "Config Tool" but first I had to upgrade to v.2.6.
Going straight from v2.422 to v2.62 or v2.63 it would not work. It would just hung but going to v2.600 first and then to v2.63 worked.
If someone is in the same boat that is what I had to do.

I've never had to use the Dahua config tool before. Probably one time to scan the network during the early days. At least you provide a work around in case anyone is unable to update their firmware for whatever reason :)

I'm having this exact issue of stopping at 50% and failing.
Does anyone have a link to that 2.6 firmware?

I'd like to update my SD49225T-HN PTZ cam as well, stuck with the original 2.4.22 version. Hoping to find a way to view the live feed within the web GUI in order to try the IVS setup.

Update: Sent Andy an email asking if he happens to have any links to 2.62 and 2.63.

Have you tried using Internet Explorer to get the live feed to show up?

In addition, you may need to delete the add-on and let the camera re-install it.

The Dahua PTZs are sensitive to web browsers and most here have success using Internet Explorer. And by that I mean Internet Explorer, not Chrome with the IE extension or Edge.

It is a well kept secret that Explorer is still backed into Windows 10. Simply type in Explorer and it will give you the option to use it.

It is possible. But if Explorer fixes the issue of not seeing a live feed, I wouldn't update then.

But if you have another issue that the firmware is addressing, then try, otherwise don't fix what ain't broke!

Ironically security cameras are not known for being very secure from hacking and bot attacks...

That is why most of us isolate our cameras from the internet so that they are not exposed. Then this isn't an issue. Many are then able to run cameras with no user or password needed.

I'm ok
On top of that I think Dahua are at gen 4 and 5 now.

I have logged my 5442 cameras, and nothing suspicious going towards the internet once I sent the NTP to the PFSense box.

My take is that Dahua abandoned support on this particular model. Would have liked to see if any later and valid firmware updates had provided IVS tracking capabilities before they stopped support.

Okay, I looked in my file storage and do see this RAR file from December 10, 2018, not sure if this would be one of the missing files . . .

"DH_SD-Mao-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_IVS_V2.623.0000000.7.R.1811242"

@Tibbar above said the upgrade path is to use the 2.60 before the 2.62 or the 2.63.

The 2-step upgrade using Tibbar's v2.600 file worked for me. From there I upgraded to v2.8 which has fixed multiple issues I had with the original firmware it shipped with. Thanks Tibbar!

Thanks, Tibbar, my PTZ is now at version "2.600.0000.2.R.R4.2510.9A.NR, Build Date: 2017-09-05"

Wondering if there's any firmware update beyond 2.60 which will allow this model to do IVS tracking?

I see that I had to change the PTZ settings within BI to "Dahua New V4" for the PTZ functions to work.
