Hello,
I have a Dahua VTO3211D-P2-S1 and which has been marked has discontinued. There's a new device which seems almost identical and has basically the same capabilities and very similar name: VTO3211D-P2-S2
I tried the obvious which is updating it via Dahua Toolbox but the update fails (I think because the model name does not match the one in the "Install" file inside the firmware bin file).
Also the partitions structure is different so I cannot update it directly via the TFTP download commands (dr, dk, etc).
I'm not very experienced so I'd like to ask the forum if it would be possible to update it by flashing the bootloader of the S2 firmware via UART. After that I would expect the download commands to be available for the new firmware structure and the regular TFTP update procedure should probably work.
Am I going somewhere here?
Do you have any idea how different the S1 and S2 actually are?
Thanks in advance!
