I am helping a friend remotely to upgrade from his BI5 version from Oct 2024. He paid for his maintenance license and applied successfully, but when I clicked on the update icon, it brought me back to the screen to enter the key for maintenance. The main general tab showed a current valid maintenance agreement (good till 7/25/26), but I could not access the update screen. So I downloaded the latest version of BI from the BI website. Upon trying to run the file, it said I must first uninstall my current version.
I exported the registry and uninstalled BI5. I installed the blueiris.exe (157MB) from the BI site. I then applied his license key, followed by the maintenance key, and finally imported the reg file I previously exported. All seemed to be running. Except it was not running as a service. Resolved that. Also AI said it was running CodeprojectAI, but when I clicked on the link to open the control panel (via the AI tab in BI), it opened a link to Deepstack. I uninstalled deepstack, and manually installed CPAI. I then pointed BI to the correct port (32168).
Under specific cameras, the AI tab indicated a green "AI is running" icon. And the open control panel link under BI5/AI tab opened the correct CPAI page. But the log on on CPAI does not show any activity (despite all the yolo models and such being installed and running).
Figuring maybe CPAI didnt install through the BI5 install because DS was present, I uninstalled BI5 and CPAI again, deleted all the directories for BI5 and CPAI. Upon reinstalling BI5, it again did not install CPAI.
At this point, I'm stuck. How do I get CPAI to install with BI5 so that it's configured the way Ken intended?
