hello
I am looking for a mini camera which can be accessed via ip or RTSP or something similar

it is for security so it needs to be hidden, and fit in an area of about 5cms or so, and have the lens fit out a hole of about 15mm
Ideally able to zoom into one specific area, if it could read text within a meter, that would be ideal

any advice on a model or camera which would suit this

thank you so much

There's the Dahua pinhole series:

Do you need IR for reduced lighting/nightime recording?

There's also bird box cameras which are generally small and can provide IR; these are in the UK:

there will be good lighting, so that is not needed, you think the above one will do the trick?
sorry for sounding dumb, but is 4k better than the 4mp, or does it rely on the lens?
i have a button 4k one, but the image that comes from it is 2304*1296
feel like im out of my depth here

Yes, don't get caught up in megapixels, as sensor size is more important in reduced lighting. Ideally, a 4MP camera would have a sensor no smaller than 1/1.8" but with pinhole cameras that is unlikely.

I'd go with the Dahua 2MP as it's 1/3" sensor is the same as the 4MP so it will perform better than the 4MP in reduced lighting.

and you think the dahua will be able to read text from less than a meter away?
Would the 4mb one be better?
lighting again, is not an issue
