Well, there’s no national electric grid, so power can’t move that easily around the country. Canadian oil sells on WTI, typically $10-20 per barrel below Brent and Uzs refineries need the heavier crude to properly run.
Canada sends a lot of resources to US for processing into goods that then flow back across the border. The two economies are intertwined in lots of way both obvious and obscure.
As for Carney, he’s kinda worse than Trudeau. And Trudeau’s real handler has thrown in with him. Lots of problems on the horizon in Canada.
