US Elections (& Politics) :)

When I was in the service (yeah, I'm an old guy) in '71, we were advised to NOT wear our uniforms when traveling commercial in order to not have "incidents" with protesters. I thought that was pretty crappy. Heck, it doesn't even mildly compare to the way the US is now...
Thanks for you service, my man,

In June of 1972 arriving in San Francisco so I could be separated at Treasure Island after my final of 2 tours in the Vietnam theater, I heard some jeers and a few cheers as I walked across the terminal lobby to catch a bus. In '72 we had to wear our uniform if on orders and not on leave....the cheers were likely from older vets. Those few drowned out the jeers, I can report. :headbang:

Thank you Tony.

Thank you for your service.
Yes, thank you sir.

Thank you all and thank YOU Tony! I always feel a little sheepish when someone says that to me. The reason is that I joined because I thought it was the right thing to do (for me) even though it was a very unpopular move with my peers. Until recently, I thought it was a strange time. Given current events, I have to say, little did I know, eh?

Folks, when the mob of thugs comes crashing in your gate, threatening to burn your house down, by all means arm yourselves and do whats necessary to protect yourself and loved ones....

....but please get some training
Cops Side With Armed St. Louis Homeowners, Investigate Protesters For 'Assault By Intimidation'

Now some St. Louis lawyer is going to sue them for protecting their home after their gate was smashed down and it is on their private property. Folks this is what we are all facing. Thank You Bigredfish for posting this. :):):)

Was a little worried seeing her finger inside the trigger guard, but then noticed it seems to be a PPk/s. I have one as a backup ankle gun, and those things have what feels like a 20lb trigger

I use AmmoSeek to see what's out there. My supply of 9mm is getting low, and I feel the need to shoot some more and improve my skill. OMG--- the chances of getting a reasonable price on 500 or 1,000 rounds is pretty damn low. Crazy!! I wonder how long it will take to bring supplies back up to normal??? Not too interested in spending 80 cents a round to shoot paper...
Yeah, too many people use that site, you can get a case here still for 239$ free shipping:

Dude-- thanks for posting that!! I just may have to get a case of that!
I have less than a hundred rounds from a 500 round case from LAXammo. These were factory reloaded-- but I never had a single dud or "bad" round at all-- shoots very consistent, but you just never know with a reloaded round (unless you reload it yourself!). The American Eagle deal you posted is cheaper per-round than I paid for the LAX reloads, and there would be no question in the back of my head about quality.

Yes...and she even has her hand over her heart.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with "She was the one that was homeschooled". Every time I get anxiety/cold-feet about whether I'm doing the right thing homeschooling my 5 & 7yo, I extinguish those thoughts immediately by seeing what state our public and higher education kids have turned into. No thanks. Even if I am the worst homeschooling dad, I've got to be light years better than what they're getting at indoctrination camp school.

Flynn targeted for destruction because he wanted to investigate Brennan's 'off the books' billions of dollars at CIA?

Sidney Powell, the tenacious lawyer who corrected the judicial abuse of her client, General Michael Flynn, is reminding us that she and her client believe he was originally targeted for destruction because he was aiming to investigate what he believes was serious corruption at the CIA under its director, John Brennan. Via Lifezette:

Sidney Powell, attorney for retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, said her client, in his duties as the White House national security adviser, was prepared to "audit" the U.S. intelligence community.

That, according to the former federal prosecutor, is partly why federal agents "set up" Flynn.

Powell, who took over Flynn's defense last summer, told the "Vickie McKenna Show" on 1310 WIBA Madison that her client was "totally set up" because he threatened to expose wrongdoing by top intelligence officials in the Obama administration.

"He was going to audit the intel agencies because he knew about the billions Brennan and company were running off the books," Powell said, referring to former CIA Director John Brennan.

This is how the George Floyd incident started.

Store clerk kills man who opened fire at him, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspected robber is dead after opening fire on a clerk who wouldn't let him pass a counterfeit $20 bill at a north Houston food store, police say. Houston police say they responded to a robbery in progress call around 10 p.m. Monday at Fulton Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect had been shot. Police say the suspected robber tried to buy something with a counterfeit $20 bill. When the store clerk told the suspect the money was no good, the suspect showed his gun and opened fire once.

Fearing for his life, police say the store clerk returned fire against the suspect. The suspect was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. There were no other customers inside the store at the time of the shooting. Police say there are no charges against the clerk at this time.

Lefty think tank president says he’d have rushed St. Louis homeowners and beaten their brains in (Niskanen Center president)

Of course we’re talking about the St. Louis couple who brandished firearms at “peaceful protesters” who knocked down a gate and marched through their private property. Plenty of lefties can’t believe that they haven’t been arrested yet for pointing guns at people, but as The Federalist reports, left-wing think tank president Jerry Taylor wouldn’t have waited for the police. In a now-deleted tweet, he says he would have rushed the couple, beaten their brains in, and not apologized either.
